According to the Hunger in Massachusetts 2010 report compiled by the Greater Boston Food Bank, approximately 1 out of every 11 people in Massachusetts receives local hunger-relief services from Massachusetts’ food banks. Of those individuals, one-third are children 0-17 years, and 47% are men and women between the ages of 30 and 49 years, and 14% are 65 or older. Today, the need for hunger relief is not just among those with illness or disabilities. According to the 2010 report, nearly one-third of the households served included at least one employed adult; and of those unemployed households, more than 30% had become unemployed in the last 2 years.

In 2009, Our Neighbors’ Table provided the equivalent of over 250,000 meals to local individuals and families.

For over 18 years, Our Neighbors’ Table has helped to fight hunger through the generosity and support of thousands of local volunteers and donors. Today, your neighbors need you more than ever.
