The Lower Merrimack Valley Food Coalition

The Lower Merrimack Valley Food Coalition (LMVFC) is a collection of organizations providing front-line food assistance to local residents experiencing food insecurity. The LMVFC covers the communities of Amesbury, Andover, Boxford, Byfield, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, North Andover, Rowley, Salisbury, and West Newbury.
Within the umbrella of the LMVFC, there are currently pre-existing coalitions targeting subset communities, including:
  • Seacoast Food Providers (SFP)
  • Greater Lawrence Food Resiliency Coalition (GLFRC)
Members of the LMVFC can utilize the Hub to access increased and improve food supply to support their respective food access programs, i.e. free groceries, free prepared meals, to mitigate food insecurity in their respective communities.
